Leighton

My sweet London has a new little sister! I can't believe I've been blessed with two beautiful, sweet, healthy girls. Leighton is such a fantastic baby! She never cries, sleeps and eats like a champ, and couldn't be cuter. London is being a fantastic big sister, always kissing the baby, asking to hold her, and grabbing diapers and burp cloths for mom. I'm a lucky woman. I just finished Leighton's birth announcements, my first Shutterfly project. I can't wait for them to arrive so I can send them out.

Leighton's Birth Story:   Since I had a C-section with London, I was able to elect to have one with Leighton's delivery. Her due date was 8/8 and London made her entrance right on time, on her due date, so when the doctor asked if I wanted to schedule my delivery at 39 weeks, I told her I wanted to have Leighton on her actual due date. Luckily for me, my sweet angel did not decide to make an early entrance, and was in fact, born on 8/8, at 12:26pm. She was only slightly smaller than her sister, weighing in at 6 pounds, 9 ounces, and 19.5 inches. She cried immediately and spontaneously, apgar scores were 8 and 9, and I haven't been able to stop smiling at her since the moment she was born. I can't believe how fast 2.5 weeks has flown by, and I can't imagine life without my newest addition. She looks much more like her daddy than London did or does, which I am thrilled about. Before she was born, I told Tim that I was hoping this second baby would look like him. She's perfect in every way. We are now the proud parents of two beautiful girls. And we couldn't be happier.
